Senior Buyer x 2 - Main Contract (Building)
West Midlands
Our client a Blue Chip National Contractor is looking for 2 Senior Buyers to Join their West Midlands office. You will be in a similar role working for a Main Contractor and had exposure of projects up to the value of £15m + on a mixture of Commercial, Industrial, Health and Education.
You will be able to procure subcontract packages / materials and services at most competitive market rates to pre-determined quality standards to suit the contract programme requirements.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Assist Estimators in establishing most competitive and compliant prime cost within the tender/bid process.
2. Maintain market knowledge and communicate pricing trends to minimise risk in incurring increased cost.
3. Maintain supply chain that is able to respond to the Company`s working environment.
4. Maintain awareness of changes in contract conditions and alleviate onerous conditions/trading terms which would jeopardise Company`s interest.
5. Promote professional image and execute duties demonstrating commercial integrity respected by supply chain members.
6. Procure sub contract and material packages.
